** We are very excited to introduce you to Isabella Lacki, a naturopathic physician. She has agreed to help us learn about whole foods. She will teach us how to cook them and why certain vegetables and fruits are especially beneficial. This site will grow (no pun intended). We have no limits to the format so stay tuned and check back often for new information!

What does it mean to truly have a clean and safe home? We are all concerned about having a visibly clean home, but we often don’t consider the toxicity of the products we use and their implications for our health and environment.
We are exposed to hundreds of chemicals everyday and less than 10 percent of them have been tested for safety.
Harmful chemicals are found in things such as furniture, computers, rugs, toys, food-packaging, vegetables, and plastic bottles, to name a few. One EPA study found the concentrations of 20 toxic compounds to be up to 200 times higher inside homes and offices than outdoors. We can’t control everything we are exposed to but we can do simple things like opening windows on a daily basis (even in the winter) to improve the air we breath. And we can start minimizing the chemicals we bring into the home by choosing safer cleaners or making our own.
